
Brass International Days
Brass International Days, a project organized by the Artistic Tribe and co-financed by the National Cultural Administration Fond (AFCN), is an international event that takes place in Timișoara for 7 days in a row. The festival includes masterclasses for brass instruments, musical competitions for brass musicians, and concerts held by international artists.

Trumpet
He has appeared as soloist with numerous orchestras, including the Romanian Radio National Orchestra Bucharest, the Philharmonic Orchestra Banat of Timisoara, the Dinu Lipatti State Philharmonic of Satu Mare, Camerata Regala Bucharest, the Targu Mures State Phiharmonic Orchestra, the Iasi Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bacau. He has performed in venues like Berlin’s Philharmonie, the Golden Hall of Viena’s Musikverein, Alte Oper in Frankfurt, Madrid Opera House, Kölner Philharmonie, among others.
Prizewinner of the scholarship of the Berenberg Bank Foundation of Hamburg and first-place winner of the Romanian National Music Competition and the International “Remember Enescu” Competition in Bucharest, Flavius has also appeared in Romanian television and radio programs, including “Young Talents” and “The musicians from today…the musicians from tomorrow”.
Mr.Petrescu is also a dedicated and highly sought after orchestral musician and has worked with such conductors as Kirill Petrenko, Andrey Boreyko,Thomas Hengelbrock, Christian Zacharias, Lothar Zagrosek, Simone Young, Jonathan Darlington and he performed with several orchestras such as the WDR Radio Orchestra Köln, Beethoven Orchester Bonn, Duisburger Philharmoniker , Staatsoper Hamburg, Sinfonieorchester Aachen, Bochumer Symphoniker, Essener Philharmoniker , Dortmunder Philharmoniker, Balthasar-Neumann-Ensemble, Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, „George Enescu“ Philharmonic Bucharest, Bilkent Symphony Orchestra of Ankara/Turkey and the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra.
Mr.Petrescu,born 1984 into a musical family in Bucharest, he began playing the trumpet at the age of 13 under the tutelage of Iancu Vaduva, former Principal Trumpet of the „George Enescu“ Philharmonic Bucharest. After graduating the Dinu Lipatti Music Highschool Bucharest, he enrolled at the “Robert-Schumann Academy of Music” Düsseldorf Germany.
Flavius received his „Diploma of Music“ Degree with distinction from the “Academy of Music and Theater” Hamburg and his „Master of Music“ Degree from the “Folkwang University of Arts” Essen. His teachers include Prof. Edmund Buschinger , Prof. Matthias Höfs and Prof. Uwe Köller.

Jose Real Cintero
Trumpet
Jose Real Cintero was born in Llíria, Spain, in 1992. At the age of 8, he began his musical studies at the Centro Unió Musical de Llíria, studies that he would continue at the Professional Conservatory of Llíria, Conservatorio Superior de Castelló, and at the Joseph Haydn Conservatory in Eisenstadt (Austria) with Professor D. Reinhold Ambros. He extended his training by pursuing a Master’s degree in Interpretation at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, under the direction of Prof. Matthias Höfs.
He has attended courses and classes from professors Andrés Simeó, Vicente Campos, Enrique Rioja, Luis González, James Watson, Charles Geyer, Bárbara Buttler, and Johannes Bartmann. He has revived the following prizes: Winner of the National Competition for Young Performers “Ciudad de Llíria”, First Prize in the “Villa de Castellnovo” Young Performers Contest, Professional Music Prize at the “Llíria” Conservatory, first classified in the Autonomous Phase of VII National Interpretation Contest “Intercentros Melómano” Valencian Community, first price in the International Trumpet Competition in Monçao (Portugal), among others.
Mr. Cintero has received scholarships from the “Balaguer Gonel Hermanos” Foundation, “Dávalos Fletcher” Foundation, and CulturArts Scholarship from the Generalitat Valenciana (Institut Valencià de Cultura). Among his recordings: “Promenade” together with the pianist Miriam Montañana, and “Kind of Gold” with Matthias Höfs-Ensembles. He has collaborated with different orchestras such as Orquesta Sinfónica de Radio Televisión Española, Orquesta “Gran Teatre Liceu” Barcelona, Orquesta de Valencia, Orchestra “Schleswig Holstein” MusikFestival, European Union Youth, “Gustav Mahler” Jugendorchester, Verbier Festival Orchester, Noord Nederlands Orkest, Bremer Philharmoniker, Hamburger Symphoniker, Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, and MúsicaAeterna, among others. Most recently he has played with the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker and has collaborated as a solo trumpet with the Oslo Philarmonic and Essener Philharmoniker. He is currently co-principal solo trumpet of “Beethoven” Orchester Bonn.

Timothy Page
Corn
Timothy Page is a sought after horn player who was originally born in Wales (GB) and now enjoys a thriving freelance career in Germany. Besides working regularly in prominent orchestras he also holds a position as principal horn at “Theater an der Elbe” in Hamburg. This allows him the freedom to pursue other musical interests such as “New Music” (Ensemble Consord) and recording for various television and radio commercials (asides from freelance orchestral work).
Tim Page has regularly performed with multiple conductors, to name but a few ; Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Sir Colin Davis, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Bernhard Haitink, Marc Piollet, and has performed with several Orchestras including Staatsoper unter den Linden Berlin, Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Das Schlesswig-Holstein Sinfonieorchester Flensburg, Neuer Philharmonie Westfalen, Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester, Sønderborg Denmark, Netherlands Symphony Orchestra, Rheinische Philharmonie Koblenz, Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn, Orquestra do Algarve Portugal and The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra (GB).
Mr.Page was born in 1981 into a middle-class non-musical family in Pontypridd (Wales) and began learning the horn at the age of 13 after having seen his brother already learning for the previous 2 years. After having grown up participating in the local, county, and national youth orchestras Timothy finally attended the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama under the tutelage of Angus West (WNO), and shortly after 1 year of studies applied, auditioned, and was accepted to transfer to the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. There he completed his Bachelor and PPRNCM under the guidance of Lindsay Stoker and Frank Lloyd, also participating in the EUYO during this time. Having befriended Frank Lloyd he was convinced to move to Essen (Germany) to continue his studies at the Folkwang University of Arts.

André Melo
Trombone
Born in Portugal in 1991 began his musical studies at the local Wind Band at the age of seven. He studied in Portugal until the age of 17 and afterwards he continued his Bachelor at the “Conservatorium van Amsterdam” with the teachers Jurgen van Rijen, Pierre Volders and Remko de Jager.
In 2014 he started his professional career in Germany at the “Düsseldorfer Symphoniker“and soon afterwards at the „Staatskapelle Berlin“as Akademist and temporary contract. Since 2019 he is member of the “Komische Oper Berlin” as Principal Solo Trombone.
He collaborates frequently with various orchestras around Europe as: WDR Sinfonieorchester Koln, Staatskapelle Dresden, Philharmonia Zürich, (DSO) Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin, Gurzenich Orchester Koln, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Royal Flemish Philharmonic, Netherlands Radio Philharmonic, Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg, Orchestra of Europe, Orquestra Gulbenkian, and others.
In 2018 his recording of Mahler 3rd Symphony together with Adam Fisher and the “Düsseldorfer Symphoniker” Orchestra, won the price „Opus Klassik Award“.

Tomer Maschkowski
Trombone bass
Tomer Maschkowski was born in 1982, into an Israeli family living in Rotterdam, Holland. He began playing the trombone at the age of 13 under the tutelage of his grandfather, a former trombonist of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Tomer enrolled as a student at the Rotterdam Codarts University and was later accepted into the Staatskapelle Berlin Akademie and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, where he had the chance to work under the guidance of maestro Daniel Barenboim. Tomer continued his formal studies with Andreas Klein, Rainer Vogt and Prof.Stefan Schulz and graduated with a Masters degrees from the UdK Berlin in 2013.
Since 2012 Tomer serves as the bass-trombone player of the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin. He is often asked to perform as a guest-trombonist with leading orchestras, such as the Berliner Philharmoniker, Concertgebouw Orchestra, Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunk ,Gewandhaus Leipzig, Lucerne Festival, Staatskapelle Berlin, Deutsche Oper Berlin,Konzerthausorchester Berlin and the Boston Symphony and more.
As a soloist Tomer has performed in many concerts in Asia, Germany and USA.
Next to his playing activities he also teaches in Rostock (Hochschule für Musik) with Jamie Williams and in Hannover (Hochschule für Musik) with Jonas Bylund. Masterclasses he gives all around the world on a regular basis.
A proud “Yamaha Artist” since 2018, Tomer Maschkowski is also a member of various brass ensembles, such as the International Trombone Ensemble , and the Trombone Unit Hannover, with whom he received the 1st prize at the 2011 Deutsche Musikwettbewerb. In addition, Tomer frequently guests at the Berliner Philharmoniker Brass Ensemble as well as at the Lucerne Festival Brass ensemble.
Apart from music, Tomer’s passions lie in the sphere of performance, dance, and acting, which culminated in the multi-media performance “NO-MAD”, along with the dancer and choreographer Oren Lazovski, premiered in 2016 at the Radialsystem in Berlin. In his recent project, “Sliding thru the Opera”, Tomer joins forces with fellow trombonist Lars Karlin and pianist Ohad Ben-Ari. The show features opera hits arranged for trombone, bass trombone and piano and was premiered at the Berlin Philharmonie in 2019.
